Nineteen student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent/grant-in-aid agreements to join Appalachian State University's football program, head coach Jerry Moore announced on Wednesday.

Former App State wide receiver Brian Quick capped a successful week by hauling in a pair of first-down receptions during Saturday's Senior Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

Justin Stepp, who helped lead Clemson to the 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference championship as a member of the Tigers' coaching staff, has been hired as App State's running backs coach.

Nine-year NFL veteran Alvis Whitted and former Mountaineer tight end Nic Cardwell have joined App State's football staff as wide receivers and tight ends coach, respectively.

App State football will host their National Signing Day reception on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the Appalachian Athletics Center.
